Memphis Using Riverfront Park To Protect From Flooding

Memphis is using riverfront parks to manage its relationship with the Mississippi and provide amenities for people.

On the Tennessee side is Tom Lee Park, which was recently reconstructed to be able to handle flooding of the river, capture stormwater, and provide recreation for the community.

On the Arkansas side is the future site of Ducks Unlimited Park, which turn 1,500 acres of old farmland back into forests, meadows, and wetlands.
