For 10 to 15 years, the residents of Seville in California's San Joaquin Valley lacked reliable, safe water.
They asked government officials for help and even had a visit from the World Health Organization, who compared the conditions to a third-world country.
The persistence finally resulted in a new tank, system improvements, and clean water, says Linda Gutierrez of the Yettum-Seville Community Services District.
